Unauthenticated code execution via use-after-free
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Use-after-free in Microsoft Remote Desktop Client allows remote attackers controlling an RDP server to execute code when a client connects. Microsoft has not disclosed the affected function or the object-lifetime error that leaves the Remote Desktop Client using freed memory. Exploitation requires user interaction with an attacker-controlled Remote Desktop server and additional preparatory actions, after which code runs on the client.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
