CVE-2026-44776Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Restricted-content disclosure via unchecked object identifiers

Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026

Authorization bypass in Kareadita Kavita before 0.9.0 allows remote authenticated users to read restricted library files and metadata. DownloadController and ChapterController accept sequential chapterId, volumeId, or seriesId values and fetch records without checking the caller's library assignment. Exploitation requires an authenticated account with the Download role and a known or guessed identifier, exposing complete original files, file sizes, and chapter metadata.
