Email spoofing via unvalidated sending parameters
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Email spoofing in SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform releases ENTERPRISE 430, 2025, and 2027 allows remote authenticated users to forge sender details. The email-sending function accepts authenticated user-supplied sender parameters without sufficiently validating the claimed origin. A valid account and network access are required; successful use misrepresents an email's sender but does not expose data or interrupt service.
