Cryptographic verification bypass in bitcoinj before 0.17.1 allows remote attackers to pass local checks for unauthorized P2PKH and P2WPKH spends. The fast paths in ScriptExecution.correctlySpends() verify an attacker-supplied signature against the supplied public key without checking that HASH160(pubkey) matches the output's committed hash. Only applications that treat this local result as proof of spend validity are exposed; bitcoinj's SPV trust model is unaffected.
