CVE-2026-44693Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated session hijacking via shared-buffer race

Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026

Race condition in Pi-hole FTL 6.0 through 6.6.0 allows remote attackers to hijack administrator sessions via concurrent API requests. The HTTP authentication layer writes an administrator SID into the unsynchronized global pi_hole_extra_headers buffer, which another CivetWeb worker can read into its response. Exploitation requires local-network access, concurrent requests, and an active administrator session; a captured SID grants administrative configuration and network-data access.
