Unauthenticated command execution via incomplete filename sanitization

OS command injection in HRConvert2 before 3.3.8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through crafted conversion requests. The sanitizeString() function in convertCore.php omits backticks and tabs from its strip lists before filenames and extension values reach shell_exec(). Any network user who can access the accountless conversion interface can run commands as the web-server user or write an executable PHP file under the web root.
