CVE-2026-44635Public exploitNetwork attack vector

JSON sub-field disclosure via unescaped path legs

Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026

SQL injection in Kysely 0.26.0 through 0.28.16 allows remote attackers to read unintended JSON sub-fields via crafted path legs. DefaultQueryCompiler.visitJSONPathLeg passes dots, brackets, asterisks, and question marks from JSONPathBuilder.key() or .at() into SQL/JSON paths without escaping them. Reachability requires a consuming application to pass request-derived strings into those APIs; exposed queries can traverse sibling or child fields beyond the intended scope.
