CVE-2026-44612

Code execution via installer DLL search path

Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026

Uncontrolled DLL loading in Bytello Share for Windows before 5.13.0.4246 allows attackers to execute code via its installer. The executable installer searches its own directory for a DLL and loads an attacker-supplied file there instead of a trusted library. Exploitation requires a victim to download the crafted DLL beside the installer and run the installer; code then runs with that user's privileges.
