Code execution via URL-decoded tooltip markup
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in SiYuan before 3.7.0 allows remote attackers to execute code when a user hovers over a crafted title. The tooltip path applies decodeURIComponent to an aria-label and assigns the resulting literal markup to innerHTML while Electron exposes child_process. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled document metadata to reach the desktop client and active user interaction with the affected tooltip.
