Host code execution via unescaped Bazaar metadata
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Stored XSS in SiYuan desktop app 2.1.12 through 3.6.5 allows remote attackers to execute host code through Bazaar metadata. The Bazaar staging flow republishes raw package author values, and marketplace views interpolate them into innerHTML while Electron exposes Node.js APIs. Execution requires a package to enter the public Bazaar feed and a user to browse its card or detail view, after which script runs with the desktop user's privileges.
