Unauthenticated protected-content disclosure via unmatched prefetch routes
Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026
Authentication bypass in Vercel Next.js 15.2.0 through 15.5.15 and 16.0.0 through 16.2.4 allows remote attackers to read protected content. App Router middleware matchers omit .rsc and segment-prefetch transport variants, so those URLs resolve to the protected page without invoking its rule. Exposure requires an App Router application that relies on middleware or proxy checks for authorization; the documented impact is content disclosure only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
