Unauthenticated data disclosure via i18n route mismatch
Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Vercel Next.js allows remote attackers to read protected Pages Router data through locale-less data routes. The i18n matcher omits middleware for these requests in 12.2.0 through 15.5.15 and 16.0.0 through 16.2.4. Exploitation requires i18n and middleware or proxy-based authorization; a crafted request returns protected SSR JSON without that check.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
