CVE-2026-44551Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated account takeover via empty LDAP bind

Published May 15, 2026 · Updated May 15, 2026

Authentication bypass in Open WebUI before 0.9.0 allows remote attackers to obtain a target LDAP user's session via an empty password. The LdapForm model accepts an empty password, and the LDAP endpoint passes it to Connection.bind(), then issues a full session token when the LDAP server accepts the unauthenticated Simple Bind. LDAP must be enabled, the server must accept empty-password unauthenticated binds, and the attacker must know a valid LDAP username; affected account data can be read or modified.
