CVE-2026-44542Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated file deletion via pre-sanitization path join

Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026

Path traversal in FileBrowser Quantum before 1.3.1-stable and 1.3.9-beta allows remote attackers to delete files via public shares. The public resource middleware and bulk-delete handler join attacker-controlled paths to the share base before SanitizeUserPath processes traversal elements. Exploitation requires a valid public-share hash with deletion enabled and permits deletion outside the shared directory within the share owner's configured storage scope.
