Remote code execution via misplaced trust gate
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Code injection in Hugging Face Diffusers before 0.38.0 allows remote attackers to execute Python code through crafted model content. The trust_remote_code check runs in DiffusionPipeline.download instead of the dynamic-module loader, letting alternate and local paths skip it. Exploitation requires an application or user to load an attacker-controlled custom pipeline or snapshot; the code then runs with that process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
