Authenticated command execution via unchecked SMB basename
Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026
Command injection in Prolix OCs Lumiverse before 0.9.7 allows remote authenticated users with Owner or Admin access to execute server commands. SMBFileSystem.exists() validates only the directory after toSmbPath() rejects a full path, then inserts the unchecked basename into an smbclient command script. An Owner or Admin session and a reachable SMB migration endpoint are required; smbclient's local-shell escape runs the command as the server process user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
