Authenticated file disclosure via external entity resolution
Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026
XXE in Frappe ERPNext 15 before 15.104.3 and ERPNext 16 before 16.12.0 allows remote authenticated users to read local files through EDI XML. The EDI module passes attacker-controlled XML to parsing that allows external entity references to resolve against server-local resources. An authenticated account with access to EDI XML processing is required; disclosure is limited to files readable by the ERPNext service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
