CVE-2026-44366Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unsanitized comment author

Published May 15, 2026 · Updated May 15, 2026

Stored XSS in Vvveb before 1.0.8.1 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in visitors' browsers through comment authors. The unauthenticated author value is stored unfiltered, then becomes a javascript URI in the moderation link or flows through replyTo into innerHTML. Execution requires an administrator to click the author link or a visitor to click Reply; the script runs in that victim's site origin and can alter displayed content or read page data.
