PFD disclosure and subscription manipulation via missing OAuth2
Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026
Incorrect authorization in free5GC before 4.2.2 allows remote attackers to read PFD data and alter subscriptions through NEF's SBI. NEF mounts the nnef-pfdmanagement route group without inbound OAuth2 middleware, so fabricated bearer tokens reach UDR-backed read and subscription handlers. Exploitation requires network access to the SBI and permits PFD policy disclosure, attacker-chosen notification subscriptions, and deletion of legitimate subscriptions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
