CVE-2026-44325Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Token-issuance degradation via incompatible reflection assignment

Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026

Type confusion in free5GC NRF before 4.2.2 allows remote attackers to degrade token issuance through malformed form fields. The access-token parser treats structured fields as PlmnId pointers and uses reflect.Value.Set on incompatible destination types, causing panics. The endpoint is unauthenticated by design; each request returns HTTP 500 without stopping NRF, but sustained requests add CPU and log-write load.
