Remote code execution via unchecked destination path
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
Path traversal in ESCCO EFW before 4.08.010 allows remote attackers to place files outside the configured home directory. elfinder_checkRisk omits the base64-encoded dst parameter used by elfinder_paste, which decodes and concatenates that destination before file.duplicate writes the chosen source file. Unauthenticated network access to efwServlet is sufficient to move a staged JSP into the webapp root and execute code with the application account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
