Unauthenticated schema disclosure via header-controlled DocType lookup
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Information disclosure in Frappe Framework 15.x before 15.107.2 and 16.x before 16.17.4 allows remote attackers to enumerate database schema. The validate_api_key_secret function trusts the Frappe-Authorization-Source header as the DocType for a database lookup and exposes distinguishable lookup failures. No authentication or user interaction is required; disclosure is limited to schema information, with no reported data modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
