Stored script execution via profile image upload
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Stored XSS in Frappe Framework before 15.106.0 allows remote attackers to run scripts in other users' browsers through profile images. The vendor identifies the user profile image section as the storage and rendering path but does not disclose which upload-validation or output-encoding operation fails. A crafted image must be stored and later rendered to another user; the published impact is limited to modifying data in the vulnerable system, with no reported disclosure or service interruption.
