Account access via incorrect TOTP result comparison
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
Authentication bypass in Pingvin Share X 1.14.1 through 1.16.2 allows remote authenticated users to access TOTP-protected accounts. The TOTP login service tests the verification result object itself instead of its valid property, so every six-digit code passes the check. A valid username and password for a TOTP-enabled user are required; successful login permits share management, sensitive-file access, and account-setting changes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
