CVE-2026-44185Network attack vector

Information disclosure via partial OCSP request writes

Published Jun 8, 2026 · Updated Jun 8, 2026

Buffer over-read in mod_ssl in Apache HTTP Server 2.4.0 through 2.4.67 allows remote attackers to receive data beyond an OCSP request buffer. The send_request loop advances its stack-buffer pointer by the requested byte count rather than the smaller count actually written after a partial socket send. Exploitation requires an outbound OCSP request to an attacker-controlled responder and a partial write; the responder receives adjacent process-memory bytes.
