Cluster compromise via Kubernetes manifest injection

YAML injection in Jupyter Enterprise Gateway before 3.3.0 allows remote attackers to create arbitrary Kubernetes resources via kernel requests. The Kubernetes kernel launcher's Jinja2 template inserts KERNEL_XXX-derived values without YAML-aware escaping, so duplicate keys and document boundaries alter the manifest. Exploitation requires a Kubernetes-backed gateway with a reachable kernel API and can create privileged pods or other resources under the gateway's cluster permissions.
