Pre-authentication PHP file inclusion via user ID traversal
Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026
Path traversal in Content Folder Kirby 5.3.0 through 5.4.0 allows remote attackers to include arbitrary index.php files via user lookup. The lazy Users collection passes a request-provided user ID into the site/accounts directory lookup without validating characters or containment. The authentication API requires no account, and traversal can load reachable index.php code or reveal whether arbitrary server directories exist.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
