Draft disclosure via missing pages.access check
Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026
Missing authorization in Content Folder Kirby before 4.9.1 and 5.0.0 through 5.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to read page drafts. The main CMS router's path resolver treats any authenticated session as sufficient for a draft URL instead of enforcing the target model's pages.access permission. Exploitation requires a valid account, knowledge of a draft's full path, and a role denied access to that draft; write actions are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
