CVE-2026-44174Network attack vector

Authenticated privilege escalation via arbitrary model methods

Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026

Arbitrary method calls in Kirby 4.9.0 and earlier and 5.0.0 through 5.4.0 allow remote authenticated users to alter server data. REST API search and collection query handlers accept unvalidated model attributes and invoke selected model methods, including password(), loginPasswordless(), and delete(). Any authenticated Panel user can reach affected queries; available methods expose password hashes and server paths, assume another user's session, or delete models when that account has sufficient permissions.
