CVE-2026-44173Network attack vector

Authenticated file writes via skipped privilege check

Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026

Incorrect authorization in affected MariaDB Server 10.6, 10.11, 11.4, 11.8, and 12.3 releases allows remote authenticated users to write host files. The SELECT execution path skips the FILE privilege check for INTO OUTFILE and INTO DUMPFILE when FROM contains only derived-table subqueries. A valid low-privilege database account is required, while filesystem permissions and secure_file_priv still bound writable locations and resulting file creation.
