CVE-2026-44127Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file read and deletion via preview identifier

Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026

Path traversal in SEPPmail Secure Email Gateway before 15.0.4 allows remote attackers to read and delete local files without authentication. The GINAv2 attachment preview handler URI-decodes the identifier into a /tmp path, strips only quotes, reads that path, and then calls remove_folder on its parent directory. GINAv2 requires explicit activation; a successful request exposes mail, user, password-hash, or key data and can delete directories writable by the api.app process.
