Unauthenticated backend reconfiguration via missing OCPP authentication
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
Authentication bypass in Phoenix Contact CHARX SEC-3xxx firmware before 1.9.1 allows remote attackers to reconfigure the OCPP backend. The OCPP Agent service exposes backend-connection reconfiguration without authenticating the caller, but the published advisory does not identify the request handler or endpoint. No account or user interaction is required; changing the backend can disclose confidential data and interrupt charging service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
