CVE-2026-44098Network attack vector

Command execution via unvalidated charge_box_id

Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026

OS command injection in Phoenix Contact CHARX SEC-3xxx firmware before 1.9.1 allows remote attackers to execute commands as charx-oa. The OCPP Agent fails to neutralize a backend-supplied charge_box_id before using it in a system command while handling log files. Exploitation requires control of the OCPP backend and a firewall bypass; successful commands run as the limited charx-oa user and can interrupt charging.
