OS command injection in Phoenix Contact CHARX SEC-3xxx firmware before 1.9.1 allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root. The SEC-3150 charx_set_ip_address binary improperly validates network configuration input, while the SEC-3000 config service passes defaultroutemetric to a system call without validation. Published paths require low-privileged local code execution on SEC-3150 or authenticated network-adjacent access on SEC-3000; the affected locus on SEC-3050 and SEC-3100 is not publicly distinguished.
