Session option misprocessing via switch fall-through
Published May 21, 2026 · Updated May 21, 2026
Incorrect control flow in DSI OpenSession in Netatalk 1.5.0 through 4.4.2 allows remote attackers to alter session option handling. The DSIOPT_ATTNQUANT case omits a break, so crafted input also enters DSIOPT_SERVQUANT, an option handler the server otherwise ignores. The CNA reports a minor unauthenticated service disruption, but Netatalk found no state corruption or meaningful security impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
