Remote server crash via resend-queue dangling pointer
Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026
Heap use-after-free in TeamSpeak 3 Server 3.13.0 through 3.13.7 allows remote attackers to crash the server via UDP port 9987. A race between duplicate clientinit packets lets process_resend_queue free a ResendingPacket after a failed client lookup while its acknowledgment-window pointer remains reachable. No account is required, but the packets must reach UDP 9987 and win the narrow handshake race; a later acknowledgment dereferences the dangling pointer and terminates the service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
