One-click code execution via terminal format injection
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
Code injection in AntSword before 2.1.16 allows remote attackers controlling a managed server to execute commands after a link click. The noxss() path passes terminal syntax into term.echo(), where jquery.terminal turns attacker-controlled output into a JavaScript link inside a Node-integrated Electron webview. Exploitation requires AntSword to connect to the attacker's server and a user to click the rendered link; execution inherits the AntSword process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
