Authenticated file write via unsanitized upload paths
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Path traversal in Actual before 26.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to write uploaded files outside the intended directory. The uploadFileWeb handler joins a caller-supplied filename to /uploads without first removing slash, backslash, dot-segment, or null-byte path content. An authenticated session that can reach the upload operation can place attacker-controlled content at filesystem paths writable by the application runtime.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
