CVE-2026-43818Network attack vector

Code execution via ImageIO integer overflow

Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026

Integer overflow in ImageIO in Apple iOS, iPadOS, and macOS allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted image. Apple states that ImageIO input validation permits an integer calculation to overflow during image processing, but has not disclosed the affected function or input field. The target must process the image, and successful exploitation runs code in the context of the affected process after user interaction.
