Kernel use-after-free in Apple iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS before 26.6 allows local users to terminate the system via an app. The kernel retains or dereferences memory after its lifetime ends; Apple has not disclosed the affected kernel routine or the app-controlled operation that leaves the stale reference. Execution of an app on an affected device is required, and the reported consequence is unexpected system termination rather than disclosed code execution or data access.
