Use-after-free in the kernel of affected Apple operating systems allows local users running an app to crash the system or corrupt kernel memory. Apple identifies the locus only as Kernel and has not published the freed object type, stale-reference path, or triggering operation. Execution of an app on an affected device is required; the bounded outcomes are a system crash or kernel-memory corruption.
