Default credential disclosure via IMEI-derived password

Weak credentials in D-Link DWR-X1820 1.00B14CP allow physically proximate attackers to derive the default admin password from its IMEI. CERT Polska reports that firmware generates the default credential from the IMEI and does not require a change, enabling administrative authentication. D-Link disputes the report, stating that a random seed is also used, the IMEI requires physical access, first login forces a password change, and repeated failures trigger lockout.
