Unauthenticated file read via Media Field paths
Published Mar 21, 2026 · Updated Mar 21, 2026
Path traversal in Crocoblock JetFormBuilder 3.5.6.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to read local files through crafted form submissions. Uploaded_File::set_from_array accepts a Media Field preset path without confining it to the WordPress uploads directory, while File_Tools::is_same_file compares only basenames. Exploitation requires a form with a Media Field and a Send Email action configured to attach files, and the selected local file is sent as an email attachment.
