Clipboard-data disclosure via synthesized user activation
Published Jun 29, 2026 · Updated Jun 29, 2026
Improper authorization in Apple WebKit Storage before 26.5.2 allows remote attackers to read clipboard data through a malicious website. The requestStorageAccess() no-gesture rejection path preserves a nonexistent gesture and synthesizes user activation, letting a cross-site iframe invoke gesture-gated clipboard APIs from its catch handler. A user must visit the malicious site; no authentication is required, and the demonstrated consequence is clipboard-data disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
