Touch Bar content disclosure via missing entitlement check
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Authorization bypass in the Touch Bar component of Apple macOS before 27 allows local users to capture displayed content through an app. The component processes a capture request without enforcing the entitlement that authorizes access to the Touch Bar's displayed content. Execution of an app on a Touch Bar-equipped Mac is required, and disclosure is limited to content displayed on that hardware.
