Unauthenticated widget overwrite via unchecked reset action
Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026
Missing authorization in ElementsKit Elementor Addons 3.8.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to overwrite Elementor widget content. The Live_Action::reset() handler runs on WordPress init when crafted post and action=elementor query parameters are present, then writes a blank template to the target elementskit_widget post's _elementor_data without a capability or nonce check. No authentication is required; a single crafted request permanently replaces the widget's custom design, text, and configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
