CVE-2026-43606

Private-key exposure via ECDSA timing discrepancy

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026

Observable timing discrepancy in AMD Vitis Security Library before 2026.1 allows local users to expose ECDSA secp256k1 private keys. AMD has not published which ECDSA secp256k1 operation varies with secret data or how the timing discrepancy arises. Exploitation requires local timing measurements or sufficiently close access for electromagnetic measurements; recovered keys permit forged signatures.
