Configuration persistence via missing admin scope
Published May 6, 2026 · Updated May 6, 2026
Insufficient access control in OpenClaw before 2026.4.10 allows remote authenticated users to persist Nostr profile configuration. The Nostr plugin's HTTP PUT and import handlers accept profile mutations from operator.write callers without enforcing operator.admin scope. Access requires operator.write scope; accepted changes persist in the Gateway configuration without administrator authority.
