File disclosure via remote marketplace symlink traversal
Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026
Symlink traversal in OpenClaw 2026.3.22 through 2026.4.4 allows remote attackers to read files via a crafted marketplace repository. The remote marketplace validator resolves plugin source paths lexically beneath the cloned repository without comparing their canonical real paths, so a live symlink can target an external file. Exploitation requires a crafted remote marketplace repository and user interaction; the resulting access is limited to file disclosure.
