Stored XSS via unescaped language setting
Published Mar 17, 2026 · Updated Mar 17, 2026
Stored XSS in the web interface of TRENDnet TEW-824DRU 1.010B01 and 1.04B01 allows remote authenticated users to inject script. The apply_sec.cgi action=lang handler stores the Language parameter in cameo.cameo.language and renders it verbatim into script and input HTML contexts. Low-privileged access and a later visit to the login interface are required; the payload runs in that user's browser and can corrupt the management interface.
